No. If you would like to schedule a permanent makeup appointment, then no consult is necessary, unless wanted by the client. The day of the actual procedure a mini consult is done while the client is numbing. We will decide on the shape, color, and technique of the procedure that will be done.
If you have prior work from another artist, you do have to come in for a consult, or try to send a clear picture with good lighting. The prior work has to be approved first for me to work over.
The Ink Clinic does offer saline removal. Depending on the saturation and the end goal of the prior work, we can either perform saline here, or refer you out for laser removal.
Saline removal typically takes a little longer than Laser removal, but causes less damage to the skin, and is not color specific. This meaning that saline can remove harder to treat colors, such as orange, red, blue, and green. Saline is cheaper in cost per session, but may require more sessions In total.
All permanent makeup clients will be numbed prior and during the procedure. This ensures little to no discomfort. For our paramedical services, they are each fairly quick, and we do have numbing to offer if the client becomes uncomfortable at any time.
PMU last 1-2 years before needing an annual refresh. Every client is different due to their lifestyle. ( Exercise, skin type, sun exposure, skin care) If you wanted the tattoo to fade out completely, it would take about 3 years.
Every case is different for every client. Typically 2-3 sessions are needed for scar camouflage and Inkless Stretchmark revision. A consult is suggested before booking, to get a treatment plan for a better idea on what to expect.
